Online multi-system emulator websites are handy, as they enable you to play and enjoy retro games from multiple systems - without needing to install emulator software, BIOSs, ROMs etc first. Nor do they require the complicated installation and setting up procedures that some emulator programmes require. Most online multi-system emulator websites enable you to configure the controls and take 'snapshot saves' of your progress - regardless of whether or not the original game had configurable controls or a save game feature. My Emulator Online is an example. I'll post links to others as and when I find them. Suggestions welcome. Obligatory legal disclaimer bit: Nomad's Reviews is unable to officially endorse the use of any specific system, emulator, website etc and accepts no responsibility for the user's experience.

In Free or Discounted Games
Free Retro games, retro-remakes, fan created megamix games etc. Turrican T2002 A fan remake of the classic 16-bit era Turrican games. Comes with its own launcher/installer which makes downloading the 15+ games based on it as easy as pie. Some of these games are crossovers with franchises such as Metroid and Shadow of the Beast. All feature updated graphics and sound, making them the best looking and best sounding versions of Turrican around. Several games are megamixes which combine the best elements of Turricans 1, 2 and 3, the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive ‘Mega Turrican’ and ‘Super Turrican’ for the SNES. Download Link: http://turricanforever.de/#SetaLevelbase NB – the graphics in-game look much sharper than this video suggests - video compression issues I suspect, or the low resolution it was recorded at. In game it looks more like this; Hurrican An even more up-to-date remake of the Turrican games. Features significantly improved visuals reminiscent of Super Stardust or Rise of the Robots due to its use or ray-traced sprites. Gameplay has also been improved - you can shoot in a 180-degree arc with your primary weapons, and you can carry all three - laser, spread shot and bounce at the same time and you can swap between them on-the-fly. The controls for the razor disk mode have also been improved, as you can now exit the mode in mid-air and immediately perform a jump - useful for reaching secret areas. Boss fights are well thought out and require a degree of thought and strategy to complete. The game also finds a new use for the crystals you will be collecting like a kleptomaniac - they increase the timer. If it reaches zero you do not simply die - instead the game gets very interesting very quickly - but I won't spoil the surprise. Download link: https://www.winterworks.de/project/hurrican/ Streets of Rage Remake 5.1 Combine all three 16-bit Streets of Rage games, add a whole host of new content, playable characters and gameplay mechanics then improve the graphics and sound and what do you get? Streets of Rage Remake 5.1 - one of the best brawlers around. Download link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/jbf4fjara2wb5av/Streets_of_Rage_Remake_5.1.rar/file More info can be seen in the video below: Final Fight LNS Ultimate What do you get if you take all three Final Fight games, throw in a load of characters and special moves from Street Fighter 2, introduce an insane combo system, true widescreen support, more Easter Eggs than a sweet shop in April, then improve the graphics and sound? You get Final Fight LNS Ultimate, also one of the best brawlers around. Download link: https://fflnsultimate.firebaseapp.com/home You can find out more info in the video below:

General Posting Guidelines If you have not been a member of a forum before you may not be aware of the common ‘Dos and Don’ts’ about how to (and how not to) engage with one. Here are some general guidelines to help you get started. 1. Please use search first! There is a good chance that unless you have a particularly niche question or rare problem that it has been addressed on our forum before. Please use the forum’s search feature first to see if there are already some good threads on the subject. It’s easy to search – just click the “Search” button at the top right of the page. 2. Be descriptive and don’t use “silly” topic names Please post a descriptive topic name! Give a brief summary of your problem in the subject. (Please don’t use attention-grabbing subjects, they don’t grab attention and tend to annoy people). Here’s a great list of topic subjects you should not post : “Help me”, “Hello”, “Very urgent”, “I have a question…” Generally, anything similar to the above is unacceptable. Just post your problem. Here are a few good examples of how to post a question “How to adjust the sensitivity of my Razer Deathadder Gaming mouse” or “What emulator should I use for SNES games?” 3. Remember when people help you, they are doing you a favour Please be patient, help people out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with, and not snapping at people with snarky replies such as “If you aren’t going to help don’t waste my time replying”. General Forum Questions Am I allowed more than one account? No, and why would you want two or more accounts anyway? There is no reason why you should have more than one account at Nomad’s Reviews. For me it was Unreal Tournament '99. It wasn't the first FPS I played - that was probably Doom '93 - but UT99 was the first one which really grabbed my attention. The fact it was running on a uni friend's then high-end PC helped since it was the best looking FPS game I had seen :-)
